This re-release version of the Super Astute 2WD buggy assembly kit features updates while keeping largely to the design of the original released in 1991.
It features a 2.5mm thickness FRP chassis with low center of gravity, plus 4-wheel double wishbone suspension employing CVA oil dampers, while metal bearings in suspension and steering linkage give sharp steering response.
The built-in TTC (Tamiya Traction Control) system protects gears from impacts and gives stable drive, even on low-grip surfaces, allowing full enjoyment of the off-road. An efficient 0.5 module gear is included. High-traction front rib-spike and rear square spike tires provide superb response and awesome cornering.
The model comes with a durable and lightweight polycarbonate body and rear wing, plus a protective undercowl.
Introducing the TTC
The TTC (Tamiya Traction Control system) both protects internal gears from impact and limits wheelspin for a more stable drive. Setup is simple, and can be performed with the unit attached to the model, removing the cap on the gearbox cover then adjusting the lock nut position. 0.5 module pinion gear gives efficient drive and great acceleration.

| Semi-double deck frame consists of main frame and sub-chassis: a race-proven setup that is both streamlined and highly rigid. | R/C equipment and battery positions secure a low center of gravity. The use of low-profile servos is recommended. | This image gives a close-up look at the heart of this model"s drivetrain: the TTC system with 0.5 module gear. |
