By combining it with an XT-compatible EX-NEXT, you can use the bidirectional XT telemetry feature.
Telemetry allows you to change various settings of servos connected via serial communication, as well as monitor the voltage of the power supply connected to the receiver directly from the transmitter. (Voltage monitoring is a feature intended for GP cars.)
*The KR-242XT is exclusively for XT telemetry. Please use the KR-420XT if you wish to use XT Advanced Mode.
The figure below shows the port of KR-420XT. There are total 5 port. Most right side port is B/S port. In case of using serial mode compatible servo, connect to this port. 1-4ch are same function as conventional KR-418FH and KR-415FHD.You can use conventional servos.
The KR-242XT now supports the new "REAL TIME ICS" serial communication with servos, allowing you to wirelessly change servo parameters directly from your transmitter.
By connecting a serial-compatible servo—such as the BSx4S-one10 Grasper2—to the B/S channel, you can take advantage of the REAL TIME ICS feature.
There is only one B / S port, but you can connect two or more devices by change the device ID number and using a branch cable. So, You can use "REAL TIME ICS" in the GP car or else category too.

When using two serial servos
If you use 2 servos with GP car, connect 2 servos to B/S port with using Serial Branch adapter or Servo Twin Extension Wire II w/new plug. it is necessary change ID number to 2 using for throlle servo, but it is easy to change by connect to Xpansion of EX-NEXT.
EX-NEXT & KR-242XT are supported HCS that is adopted from RSx3 BSx3 series.。Until now, it was necessary to change the receiver mode using the setting device, but with EX-NEXT, it can be changed from the transmitter each channel.HCS compatible servo are automatically change to HCS mode when received signal was HCS. If you want use HCS, please connect to 1-4ch of KR-420XT.
<Compatible Servo> RSx3 / BSx3 / RSx4S / BSx4S Series
You can using more kind of servos by changing to "Normal mode" by the response mode. So, you can use your have servos and ESC with EX-NEXT. In this case, please connect to 1-4ch of the receiver.
*If you change response mode of EX-NEXT to NORMAL at XT advanced mode of Radio setting, maximum movement degrees of servos are limit to maximum about xx degrees. So, if you use NORMAL mode, we recommended set to XT telemetry mode in the radio setting. In case of using ESC, there no chance for using over this limit, so it is no problem for using with XT advanced mode.
At the ultra-compact receiver KR-242XT, which is equipped with the latest devices abundantly as like EX-NEXT, While maintaining the same occupied area as the KR-418FH compact receiver, which has been very well received, the connector mounting height has been reduced, and the total volume is smaller than before. Connecting port for servo or ESC are equipped total 5 port.Also, not connected port can be use to power supply for cooling fan and transmit ponder for lap count system.
KR-420XT has function that can install antenna pipe to receiver case directly as same as KR-415FHDr, which has been very well received. The floor area is the same as the conventional model KR-418FH, but you can save the trouble of installing the antenna mount.

The UI (user interface) of the setup switch and pilot LED has also been reviewed, and in addition to the same handling as the conventional KO PROPO receiver, pairing and RF mode switching functions have been additionally implemented without turning the power on / off.
